Thoughts for the day:
(1) Realised that there are many people out there who may claim to be fervently Christian, going to Church on a regular basis and participating in activities, but are actually moral cowards who fail to go beyond the confines of the Church to "do the right thing" by addressing the inequities in society for fear of the repercussions to themselves (including loss of life or liberty).
(2) That these same people would go to great lengths to put down people who have gone beyond their way to make a difference in the lives of others and called for a fundamental rethink of how things work in order to assuage their guilt that they are not doing enough.
(3) That it is important to befriend down-to-earth and sensible people who would be able to point out your flaws and help you to correct them rather than superficial characters who fawn on your every word.
(4) That it is important to learn how to accept criticism gracefully.
(5) That it is possible to be married to someone whom one has only met 6 months ago.
(6) That love can be quite painful because it requires a lot of sacrifice, but that it can be simultaneously fulfilling because one grows and matures as a result.
(7) That some Singaporean girls can be awfully shy when helping guys with their stretching exercises in yoga class.
(8) That many people are hypocrites.
(9) That I am actually quite good at organising parties.
(10) That for next year, I want to travel to Australia to see the Ocean and to India to see the Himalayas.
(11) That many people here confuse their identity with their jobs and become one with their occupation. That many people put off doing what they are passionate about until they realise too late that they are not able to fulfill their dreams anymore. That it is important to live life to the full instead of hesitating. That we are all meant to leave a blazing trail as our legacy, but some choose to take the easy way out.
