Running Out of Time

It has been almost three years since I started my employment with this organisation. As such, it is not surprising that my time here in Singapore is running out by the minute as I prepare myself to go to a foreign land for the next 3-4 years.
In the run-up to my departure, I guess I will have to prepare to sort out the complicated relationships which I have with other people, make peace with those I have fallen out with and prepare to say goodbye to those near and dear to me.
Going over to a foreign land can be rather distressing, uncertain and lonely especially if English is not the lingua franca there. But I guess I am quite adaptable and will be able to survive.
Was saddened to hear that one of the councillors in my ACJC batch had passed away. A shocking reminder of how transient life is and that perhaps what we chase for in this world (power, money, success) is transient. It is a reminder that a minute not lived fully is a minute wasted and that our time is running out.
