Blogging this entry from the airport before departure.

Had to chair a very long board meeting for the AIDS charity. I am glad that we managed to get a few of the initatives approved such as the World AIDS Day activities and our business proposals.
Went later in the evening for a dinner at Mt Sophia with some of the uni friends to celebrate my 27th birthday. It was nice catching up with everyone again. Many thanks to CL and L for organising the event. It will probably be one of the last birthdays that I am spending in Singapore.
I realised that some people cannot comprehend the concept of privacy. Was at the teller to get some money and there were these two foreign workers of South Asian origin who were standing very close and peering over my shoulder. It was quite disconcerting. Perhaps in certain societies which remain largely rural, the sense of community is so strong that one cannot live independently and has to abide by the precepts dictated by the community and have his life exposed for all to see.
