Women who love Women

Tonight was the first time that I stepped into the Sinema theatre. Instead of the conventional theatre where one would be plonked into seats with arm-rests,Sinema's seats are merely communal seats without individual demarcation, allowing people to interact with each other whilst interacting with the film. The seats reminded me of the ones in the House of Commons where MPs had to squeeze for space with each other on the plush seats.
This evening, I watched the documentary Women watching Women, a film exploring the lives of three lesbians, their coming out, their faith and their attitudes towards society at large. In spite of the "talking heads" format, the film was engaging, interesting and thought-provoking. Worth watching if you havent done so. I doubt that a similar film on men who have sex with other men would have passed the censors.
Many from the community were present at the film and complimentary Bombay Sapphire drinks were given out after the screening.
