So it is set. I will be visiting Shanghai/Suzhou and Hangzhou for my vacation over Easter. I am looking forward to it since many people have tole me that the water-towns in both Suzhou and Hangzhou are very scenic. I am also looking to visit Shanghai since I have never been there. It would be most interesting to walk along the Bund and relive history when the city was one of the most cosmopolitan financial centres of the world. I have already booked my ticket and the only thing outstanding is the booking of hotel accommodation.
Went for dinner with Sarah this evening at Bistro Gaga. Located on top of Mount Sophia, the food was average, but I must say that the ambience and service was great! Met P and family who were there as well for dinner. After dinner, we took a nice walk around the Old School Building and ventured into the Sinema office where we had a chat with one of the owners of Sinema. It is commendable that they are following their passion of screening and promoting local films.
Went thereafter to a party at Night and Day, a bar along Selegie that had been set up in an old pre-war shophouse. The decor was nicely done and it was nice to meet up with several people who were at Sarah's CNY party the week before. Managed to talk to them a bit. Realised that this was because the party circuit is quite small.
Next week looks set to be hectic, but I do believe that it will be insurmountable.
