Wedding

Went to Seremban over the weekend to attend a friend's wedding. As we arrived with some time to spare before the wedding banquet began, we asked the hotel staff if there was anything to see or do. There was some surprise on the part of the staff as they explained that there was not much to do or see in the town except for the hot spring and the old royal palace in the outskirts of the city. Eventually, we decided to head out to the spa in the hotel and lounge around by the pool.
Later that evening, I managed to catch up with Dina and her friend Marissa. Its been so long since we last met in Berlin, but I am glad that shes doing well and still as gregarious as ever.
The wedding was a grand affair with the whos-who of Malaysian society showing up. My favourite segment of the event was the procession of the bride and the groom as the imam sang out the koranic invocation. Went on stage to congratulate the newly wedded couple and introduce Dina who sang an Indonesian lovesong for them.
This morning, I went with the rest to Church and then it was off to the royal palace (Sri Menanti) where we took pictures and explored the small Malay house.
I am quite glad to have been blessed with a wonderful woman in my life. With her, I am truly happy. For the first time in years, I have been able to be comfortable with myself and have been able to finally regain the laughter that I thought I had lost after school. She adds colour to my life too! Most importantly, I have been able to love and feel loved. We complement each other in many ways. This is a woman whom I love very deeply and someone whom I hope to walk life's journey with eventually. =) People have been amazed by our story and I too sometimes am amazed at how things have developed. It is almost divinely ordained that lead us to each other in the most unexpected of circumstances. I love you.
Love comes from the most unexpected places
In someone's eyes you've never met
Who wants to get to know you
In someone's smile you can't forget
And if the music plays on in your mind
Take all the love that you can find
And if love takes you in
Take all the love that you can find
And hope it comes again
Love comes from the most unexpected places
A love song on the radio
You never hear enough of
In bars that thrive on loneliness
Where people sell their sorrow for your time
They take the love that they can find
And if love takes them in
They take the love that they can find
And hope it comes again
Love comes in many ways
In lover's arms
In sweet bouquets
But if nothin's said
Then nothin's ever heard
Here I stand outside your door
And I'm trying to tell you just once more
That I love you
I still love you
Love comes from the most unexpected places
In someone's eyes you've never met
Who wants to get to know you
In someone's smile you can't forget
And if the music plays on in your mind
Take all the love that you can find
And if love takes you in
Take all the love that you can find
And hope it comes again
